SPECIFICATION FOR THE FRP 5.4 MTR SPEED BOAT
GENERAL : This ‘V’ shaped planning hull is ideal for use in lakes, rivers, inland waterways and even in open seas due to exceptional stability. Good speeds can be
achieved when fitted with an outboard motor of 10 HP and above.

CONSTRUCTION :
The hull will be constructed with adequate layers and chopped strand mat and woven
rovings laminated with good quality marine grade resin. Sufficient longitudinal and
transverse stiffeners will be provided inside the boat for good structural strength. The boat provided with a sub. floor made of chequered fiberglass-clad marine plywood. The void spaces between the hull and sub. floor will be filled with polyurethane foam which
provides additional buoyancy in the even the boat capsizes.
The deck and gunwale will be moulded separately and bonded to the hull. Wooden
bench type seating will be provided to seat the occupants. Durable rubber/wooden fenders all around except in way of the OBM to protect the craft against side impact. The transom will be suitably strengthened with marine grade plywood to take up the load of the OBM during operation.
FITTINGS : The boat will be fitted with stainless steel bollards, oar crutches with socket and a towing ring.
