Technical Specifications for Rigid Fiberglass Work Boat
General Information: The fiberglass work boat will be built along the lines of a rescue as good boat. It has a V-shaped hull and has good sea keeping qualities.
This boat requires little or no maintenance.
Construction: The hull will be mould using good quality glass fibers and resin. Adequate longitudinal and transverse stiffeners will be used for good structural strength. The boat will have a gunwale and an OBM well at the aft. The transom will be adequately strengthened to fit a diesel or petrol outboard motor. Wooden floorboards will be provided. Athwartship wooden bench type seating will be provided inside the boat to seat between 8 to 10 persons including the boat driver.
Fittings: The boat will be fitted with row locks, bollards, towing ring and a locker at th e bow to store small equipment.
Accessories: A pair of wooden oars, a boat hook, 25 meter painter line will be provided to secure the boat to the shore.
